its about time! I am pretty much over those who keep begging for help and adding like lunatics so they can level up to Sire.Or begging everyone to help their friends or alternate profiles in their kismets. All the while we are laughing at the audacity of it.

WORK for it like anyone who is already there has had to already.Always wanting the easy way out..Jeeze can we say impatient and lazy?It really makes me wonder what they are like in real life..got that sense of entitlement?

Take note that there IS one who has chosen to do just that...She is working for it.Kudos to you! and guess what? I gave her a ten just for that.

LOL... It gets pretty ridiculous to see the everchanging kismets and whatnot asking for help to level up....I dont get it...I have been on here for 4-5 years and Im still not Sire..I figure it will happen when it happens...and I have definitely had to work for it!

i will admit i am guiltiy of this right now with my kismet, but frankie has been here for a bit and she has worked hard. Now i just don't advertise for anyone...i look at how long they have been here, and if they have put in time in data base ratings and such. I worked hard myself database rating profile ratings fourm posting..except at the tail end xxxpoisonivyxxx gave up her cm mark so i could have it thus giving me that boost right into sire. but i can understand and see were you are coming from. Sirehood should be eraned not just given to

If everyone was a Sire,or if it was easy it would take away pretty much all it stands for.Now I do understand wanting to help a friend by leaving them a good rate and such but damn, the place has become saturated with this and it was refreshing to see someone actually willing to do it on their own.

I can't really say much because this account was given to me at a level 84 but I agree with you. The last time I was here 28 was the highest level you could go and as far as I remember people adding you didn't help you a bit. If you ask me, the changes made have already made it WAY easier to level up. Why wouldn't anyone need help?

I think what bugs me about the whole adding thing is that for me,having a friend on my list means something .I dont care at all about the bonus. What I do care about is that those one my list and I have found something in commonn, somewhere in conversation. The adding bonus..or more, the persuit of it has taken that away in some respects.

Amen, sister!

I never was a friend collector/whore anyway. People on my list? I talk to 'em. Some a lot, and their profiles got my attention in a positive way. Some of them are old-timers, ie popular, and some are newbies with few friends.

I wish that I could be here more to interact with them all.

Oh yeah - it took me almost 2 years to reach Sire!

I hear you there Isis..

And this, written by cancer himself say it all.but is exactly what has been getting exploited with this trend.

It will always be negative when you're a new member. As you spend more time on the site and get to know more people, the number of Friend Lists you are on will grow. As a result, this bonus will move from negative into positive territory.

Thank you for that. I can't understand how people DON'T work for it personally. Where is the satisfaction in getting to a certain level without actually earning it? How can that possibly feel rewarding?

misery, hate and drama as I read through journals here on VR.Its dissheartening really and makes me wonder why some would hate that another might be happy in their life.Or why it is that some are constantly enbroiled in chaos and misery in almost every situation in their lives.

It also makes me pretty thankful.I was asked a question yesterday and here was my reply..

Alot of things to be honest..my bills are paid,Im not in debt.I have a great place to live ,I get plenty to eat,my kids are doing well and are happy .Relationships are good and I have a job that makes me feel like I have never worked a day in my life. Im going to the Breeders cup in Oct.And for the first time at that race,I will actually see it from a box at the finish line, instead of from a monitor on the backside.

So things are pretty good.

When you see someone that is happy, You should be happy for them as well.

But now if someone that is not realy happy themselfs,

They are only going to be happy if the other one is as miserable as they are. They love that drama, They love the hate. That is how they live there lives.

They know no love, So They inturn will show no love.

mis·er·a·ble/ˈmiz(ə)rəbəl/Adjective

1. (of a person) Wretchedly unhappy or uncomfortable.

2. (of a situation or environment) Causing someone to feel wretchedly unhappy or uncomfortable: "horribly wet and miserable conditions".

Its a damn shame too LEGION,because it is so true. And what is even more shameful, they try to make out like anyone who might have managed to get any reprieve from the crapp in this life,or are actually at peace with theirselves, their lives and others, they make those people out to be asses.

Its a really strange trend if you ask me.

What's sad is that many of the miserable haters keep up their misery and hate bacause it is all that they know. If they are willing to step out of their horrid little worlds, they'd see beauty and happiness sometimes...

Talk about timing..I just saw this in Taintedpoison's journal.I think it kindof says it all.....

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and every person, too."

The grandson thought about it for minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
